We do plan on starting back sometime down the road, but I really can't tell you when that will be. I figured it's best for me to just let you guys know something instead of leaving you hanging for no telling how long. Hopefully we can solve the problems quick and efficiently.

The tale of the two 3DSes
First off, I want to thank Gamesplash.net for hooking us up with a brand spankin' new 3DS, Pilotwings, Case, and a very cool beanie! Without them, this wouldn't be near as cool of a story. For those who don't know, I filmed Daemion smashing our DS to show Gamsplash how bad we wanted to win a 3DS. You can see the original story we posted about it HERE.
Just so you know..
Had to leave out yesterday to go help a friend, so that's why everything came to a halt. I'm working on a story right now to post later today. I'll start on the News when I finish it.
You should see some changes to the blog later today if I have the chance to do it.

We finally have a running pc again..
Took most of the day yesterday, but we finally did it. Many thanks to my good friend Jacob! Without him, I wouldn't be typing this right now. He was even able to fix the one that I thought had turned into a giant paperweight.
I'm gonna take the day to get everything back the way it should be on this pc. I should be able to start up the News/BlogInfo first thing in the morning. I can't wait to tell you guys the story of the week we've had. It's went from one extreme to another and back again. Here's a hint.... I'm gonna call it, "the tale of the two 3DS's".
See you guys tomorrow!

You guys are not gonna believe what i found today
Sorry for the lack of posting, but friend called earlier to tell me he had a rental property that needed to be cleaned out so he could get some new people in it. I was hesitant to go because of the bad earache I have. Until he said, "well, there is something here you might be interested in. It's something Nintendo". So I quickly told him I'd be there in a second and left right away without anymore questions.
When I arrived, I asked him where it was while he was in the middle of telling me what he wanted done lol. So he quickly took me to it..... and there it was, a Sharp TV with a Nintendo built into it! I had only read about these things, and from what I'd gathered, they were super rare. I then quickly cleaned everything up so I could get it home and test it out.
When I got home and got a good look, I started to think that it might not work. It was completely covered in dust and gunk, and it had been sitting in a garage for no telling how long. Most stuff that looks like that usually don't work at all. I figured it was at least worth it to try. So I started cleaning.
After spending about an hour cleaning, it actually started to look good. It has some cosmetic damage, like the power button is missing, and the volume/channel buttons are too, but the contacts were still there. So I plugged it in to see what happened, and to my amazement, the TV powered up! All the buttons even worked!. Then I tried the separate power button for the NES system, it made the TV flicker just like a NES does when it needs a cart. I said to myself, "could this thing actually work, did I just find a working rarity?".
The only real way to know was to go get a working NES cart and controller. So I called up a friend of mine at a gamestore to see if he had a cheap cart and controller I could buy from him. He said they could hook me up with both for around $10 bucks. So I drove down there and back to get them as quick as I could. When I got back I threw the cart in it and pressed the power, then BAM, it came on! I'm just so excited right now, I really can't believe something like this just fell into my lap.
Below are a few pics of the unit before I cleaned it up real good. Have any of you guys ever heard of one of these? Have you ever seen one?
Again, sorry everything didn't get posted. At least you now know why. I'm feeling a little better, so everything should be back to normal tomorrow. Have a good night everyone!

gonna start back up later today..
As of right now, I have a really bad ear ache. I'm hoping it will go away by the time Daemion gets home so we can finish the review, monthly oldschool favorite and the MarioKart TT. I would post some News, but I just can't stay focused on anything because of the pain.
If it doesn't go away by later today, my wife Holly said she will take over. This means she might end up writing the monthly oldschool favorite and finish the review. Please take it easy on her!
Sorry for the problems yet again. This just isn't our week. It's been one thing after another. At least we had some fun yesterday, and I was also able to get a few computers that need some work. Hopefully I can get one working computer out of them so we can have a PC near the Wii for video capture.
If anyone has any experience with video capture on linux, please let me know. Any help would be much appreciated.

Some of you just might call us crazy, but...
we totally smashed our DS! Some of you may remember a contest I told you about that we entered to try and win a 3DS. Well, they said you can enter more than once, so we decided to try one more time. If this doesn't say how bad we want a 3DS, I don't know what will!
WARNING: This may be painful to watch!
I got this DS the other day for this exact purpose. Traded a few games from my personal collection to get it. So I'm really hoping this is what it takes to win! Otherwise it's gonna be christmas before we get to play anymore two player DS games! doh!

Latest Gaming Purchases
We picked up most of these over the last week through some trade. We let go Mario Party 7, Kirby Air Ride and Cars DS. If you can't see exactly what these are in the pic, they are Yoshi Island DS, Mario Party DS, Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, Mario 64 DS and De Blob Wii. I'm thinking these DS games are gonna keep us busy for quite some time. We also got De Blob so we could go through it before getting the second one.

NEWS - Young boy that used DS to save his mom's life receives commendation certificate
Jake Goode, an 11-year-old boy from Guisborough, saved his mother from a house fire last December by using his Nintendo DS as a light source to guide both of them to safety.
Jake, who is now aged 12, was awarded a commendation certificate from the Chief Fire Officer of Cleveland Fire Brigade for which he was nominated by Coulby Newham Fire Station. His parents Mick and Louise Worsey commented “We are proud. He is our hero.”
Chief Fire Officer Ian Hayton added “Jake’s quick thinking to use his Nintendo DS as a light source to help guide himself and his Mum out of the house probably saved their lives.”
It’s perhaps the most courageous use of a Nintendo DS handheld, does anyone else have any miracle stories?
[Thanks, BBC]

NEWS - Nintendo 3DS seeing high number of returns? Nintendo and multiple retailers deny claims
A few UK tabloids have put together some stories saying that the Nintendo 3DS is seeing a large number of returns due to so many people getting sick from the 3D effects of the 3DS. Is this allegation on the money, or is this tabloid smut at its worst? Here's what Nintendo and multiple retailers had to say.
GameStop: "This is something that we are not experiencing."
Currys: "We have not noticed a big increase in returns [with the 3DS]."
Nintendo: "Recent reports are incorrect. The number of calls and emails with queries on Nintendo 3DS is in fact well below the rate experienced during past hardware launches and having spoken with our retail partners there are only a handful of people who have actually gone into stores to request a refund. Nintendo 3DS was designed with a 3D depth slider that lets users adjust the 3D effect so that everyone can still enjoy this product. When viewing any kind of 3D images, including movies and on TV, some people might experience minor discomfort. The effects are short term and have no lasting effect; most people can continue after taking a break. Our advice for anyone concerned about potential side-effects or for anyone who just wants to take a look at a Nintendo 3DS is to ask to see and play one before they buy. Most stores will only be too happy to oblige."
GAME: "We've had less than five people complain that they feel sick and want to return [the 3DS]."
HMV: "Contrary to a report in today's media, we would like to make clear that we are not aware of any manufacturing fault with the 3DS console - which we have seen huge demand for, and that we have not issued any refunds for it and nor are we doing. A number of customers are, however, choosing to take us up on our pre-played games offer - which is a totally different thing, where they can trade-in previously purchased games products, including the 3DS if they so choose, against any other products that we stock in-store up to a pre-determined set value."

Here we go!
I'm about to start posting up some News in a few minutes. We should have the "Monthly Old School Favorite" and Daemion's "Mario Kart Tournament Time" up before the day is over. I'm gonna try and get the Review ready, but I'm not sure if we will be able to pull it off before the nights end because I have 3 or 4 days worth of News to get posted up first. We'll just have to see.
We also got some new games in the last few days through some trading. I'll post those up sometime in a few hours, just want to get some News out of the way first.

UPDATE
It's looking like the review won't be done today. I had completely forgot about Daemion's school play later tonight. Plus Daemion isn't in the best mood because he was choked and hit in the face while on the bus today. We called the school to talk with the principle or his teacher, but neither of them was available.
Due to these circumstances, we are gonna hold off on the review and news till tomorrow or the next day.
I'm also currently trying to find someone to help with posting News here in case Holly or I can't do it. Hopefully we can have all the kinks worked out and everything going full steam soon.

What a night
Last night while we was writing up the Epic Mickey Review, a huge thunderstorm rolled in and we had to shut down the PC. We never lost power, but I think it's better to be safe than sorry.
There is trees down all over the place. So I'm about to head outside to start the cleanup. When I get back in, I'll try and catch up on the news before Daemion gets home today. We should have the Review up sometime later today.

Just a few more twigs and you̢۪ll be ready to find a mate. Listening, you hear the sound of other birds nearby. Perhaps one of them is the father of your future chicks. Chris' Corner - Pokemon White DS review
From Review:
"I've mentioned before that I would try to get some comments/reviews from the other gamers in my house - here's the first one, courtesy of my son and the biggest video game fan in this house (other than me). So, here's his first ever review - let him (and me) know what you think if you get a chance to leave some comments. I'm hoping he had a lot of fun with it!"
"Today I shall be talking about Pokemon White. I am Chris-not your lovely Chalgyr/Nick-I am his son. So, onto the Pokemon game!"
