In Pirate Blast, players are tasked to defeat Captain Greasebeard and the evil robotic Henchbots determined to take over Vile Isle. The game features eight challenging levels based in various entertaining scenes, including a village, jungle, pirate cove and pirate ships. Swashbuckling gamers must fight against eight different villains as they work their way towards a final battle against Greasebeard himself. Along the way, players can discover bonus rooms and collect stolen booty, such as health kits and special keys to replenish health, to aid them in their quest.
In addition to the standalone title, Pirate Blast will be available bundled with an innovative blaster peripheral that when paired with a Wii remote, provides a challenging shooting adventure. The special edition blaster bundle brings added excitement to battles against Greasebeard and his Henchbots as players target their enemies with rapid-fire precision.
Pirate Blast is rated E for Everyone for a MSRP of $19.99, and is now available for the Nintendo Wii at retail outlets nationwide. The special edition Pirate Blast bundle with blaster peripheral is scheduled for release in March 2011 for a MSRP of $29.99.
