That is INCREDIBLY fortunate! As Chalgyr said, it is a bit of a bummer that you had to do all that trading in to get it, but you guys will bounce back in no time. Here's hoping that some good 3-4 player wi-fi games come out for the 3DS so all 3 of us can play!

You tell Daemion that when he shows the blog to his class, he needs to talk about his favorite blog friend, ol' BitNick... :)

Congratulations to you, Holly, and the boys again!

-BitNickThe 8-Bit Variety Show!https://www.blogger.com/profile/12023608289718368734noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2240180934263843564.post-34242218374572922592011-04-21T11:22:25.588-04:002011-04-21T11:22:25.588-04:00I can't even begin to say how horrible it is t...I can't even begin to say how horrible it is that you trade in old games to get new ones. I can understand if you hated the games and would never play them, but to get rid of all of them for the next cool thing is terrible.

I still have all my original games even from the Atari era. All that nostalgia with your old games won't be able to be experienced again unless you spend even more money to reattain them. I've plowing through a pretty good stack of games lately though, so maybe I'll have some trade-fodder shortly. And that's one cool thing about my son - he and I both just enjoy playing games, talking about games, watching game trailers, etc. He's my little mini-me most of the time. :)

And I agree with his teacher and the idea in general. My son's actually been prepping up another game review (amusingly, his Pokemon one was *the* most commented item on my blog ever. My plan to phase myself out is nearly complete).Chalgyrhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10879608925209948366noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2240180934263843564.post-19165993795799456982011-04-20T20:07:48.583-04:002011-04-20T20:07:48.583-04:00@Chalgyr

We actually entered one more contest a couple weeks ago on gamestop's website.. they are giving away a 3DS and a $500 gift card to the winner.. if we win, we are gonna take the 3DS and a new game down to the Ronald McDonald house or the children's hospital and give it to one of the unfortunate kids there.. cause, we don't need 3 of them.. plus it just wouldn't feel right if we kept it... i asked Daemion what he thought about it and he said it was great idea.. so that's the plan.
our fingers are crossedMy Little Gamerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10805709520208868326noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2240180934263843564.post-22967666346375629302011-04-20T16:42:58.390-04:002011-04-20T16:42:58.390-04:00"Any of you guys have any crazy stories like ..."Any of you guys have any crazy stories like this to share? Post em!"

Actually, we have two DS Lites in our house, and I won both of them in contests/competitions interestingly enough.
One was a video competition some years back, and the other was a monthly employee training session for points, and random drawings.

Congrats on having both systems, enjoy the new gaming adventures!coffeewithgameshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05381995224445934504noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2240180934263843564.post-26770431262659018272011-04-20T16:09:46.405-04:002011-04-20T16:09:46.405-04:00I've been curious what the story behind the 2 ...I've been curious what the story behind the 2 3DS's, and now I know. It is a bit of a bummer that you did all that trading in, but having two systems should be a lot of fun for you guys. My son's always telling me to get a DS so I can play games w/ him (though my usual response is I'll just borrow his if I want to play).

I also think it's really cool that his teacher wants to show off the blog. :) Hope you enjoy your systems - I'm no doubt waiting a year or so before I get my 3ds. :)Chalgyrhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10879608925209948366noreply@blogger.com
